As a student you have your role and its attached responsibilities in the classroom. Fulfilling your role is important for your own benefit as it will help your teachers and tutors accomplish their responsibilities in teaching you.
There are obvious responsibilities as a student such as turning in homework, going to class, and taking tests. Homework is an important step meant to prepare students for tests and future classes. If students fail to do their homework or study certain things independently between classes or tutoring sessions, it is hard for the mentor to satisfy their own role in the student’s life.
Completing assignments with guidance can make things seem easy, but as soon as a student is home working on an assignment alone she may feel confused or lost. Communicating by telling your teachers or tutors that you are having trouble with a certain concept or problem is important because it is their role to ease that struggle.
Teaching and learning is a partnership in which each person must do their job in order for both to benefit and better one another.
