3 Resources To Take Advantage Of

resources

In this day and age, studying smart means knowing how to use the resources available to you both in and outside of the classroom. Are you using all of the resources listed below?

1. Teacher

Yes, it’s an obvious answer, but are you actually talking to your teacher about your progress in the class and what you could be doing better to internalize the material? Sometimes, it’s just a matter of letting the teacher know that you are struggling before you can work together with him or her to come up an effective study plan. Your teacher may also be inclined to give you specific study tips if you let them know exactly what you are struggling with. Don’t forget that teachers are resources to help you learn, and they can’t do that unless you help them help you.

2. Tutor.

Your EPT tutor is a fantastic resource for study tips, organizational skills, and, of course, conceptual knowledge. They have been through and have successfully mastered the material that you are studying, so they know how to best internalize what you are working on, and maybe struggling with. Don’t be afraid to ask specific questions during your sessions! There really is no such thing as a stupid question.

3. The Internet

Everything is online – including excellent videos about every concept imaginable. If you are struggling with a certain topic or subject, or just want to learn more, check out YouTube and sites like Khan Academy to get more information. Learning material from multiple sources can also help you to see the material from a different angle, since many instructors will have different methods of teaching the same concept. Don’t hesitate to maximize the Internet as a resource!

If you aren’t using all three of these resources, you’re missing out. Using your resources effectively will give you an edge in the classroom and expand your opportunities for academic growth.
